Falz Reacts To NBC’s Ban On “This Is Nigeria”

Falz has reacted to news that the National Broadcast Commission (NBC), has described his controversial song “This Is Nigeria” as “vulgar and unfit for radio”, thereby placing a ban on the track. They also called out Olamide’s “See Mary, See Jesus” song, saying it goes against section 4.3.1e for using the term “Jesus” and “Mary” casually.

Many would have guessed that the comic rapper would be full of rage following the ban but reverse was the case. The singer simply made sarcasm out of it.

Falz on Instagram, simply wrote; “This is Nigeria. Look how we living now, everybody be criminal” is apparently a vulgar line.
This is the first time Falz will be coming into NBC’s watch, unlike Olamide who is already familiar with the reproach of the broadcast commission and how often they have banned his songs; from “Wo” to “Science Student”. Wande Coal seems to also be new to this experience as they also frowned at the lyrics of his “Iskaba”.
